Taylor grew up in Nashville, TN, before moving to Memphis to pursue her undergraduate degree in Educational Studies and Psychology at Rhodes College. After graduating with her Elementary teaching license and spending significant time teaching and conducting research in the large urban public school system, she took a leap in search of change, heading to Telluride for what was once supposed to be a mere 10-week summer with Telluride Academy in 2022. Like so many others, though, she couldn’t bear to leave after a single season. She has been in Telluride ever since, splitting her time between the Mountain School, a local family for whom she provides independent childcare, and exploring all the beauty, adventures, and opportunities the region has to offer.
