Regionally, students have volunteered for Telluride Adaptive Ski Program, have gathered and wrapped presents for the Angel Baskets program and have raised money to support the Ark, a local wildlife rehabilitation center and for Heifer International. Upper school students have helped with Spanish translations of interpretive materials at the San Sophia Nature Center and lower school students have assisted Spanish-speaking children from the local community in their first ski lessons. The school also maintains an ongoing relationship with St. Michael's School for disabled Navajo students in Window Rock, Arizona.

Annual experiential learning trips are a cornerstone in building students' sense of the greater world, students are regularly engaged in service projects. Lower school students worked with competitors in the Special Olympics. On a trip to the Southeast, Intermediate School students volunteered in a Montgomery, Alabama elementary school after visiting key civil rights sites. Upper school students labored on a cooperative coffee farm during an extended trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.
