Experiential Education

The Experiential Education program at Telluride Mountain School provides students with a unique balance between classroom work and field-based "Sense of Place" curricula.

Experiential education is a synthesis of three major components: outdoor adventure, cultural and natural immersion and service learning.

Fall programs emphasize teamwork, mountain activities and a connection with the unique local region.

Winter programs are designed around snow, winter ecology and avalanche education and include a full-season, on-mountain ski and snowboard Winter Sports Program.

Spring programs incorporate desert and river travel, as well as a culminating trip to a regional or global location.
