Brian Werner is the technology specialist and instructor for the Mountain School . He grew up in the farmlands of Illinois but found his way to the mountains early on. After attending Holderness School in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, he received a BA in American Studies and

Environmental Studies from Williams College in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts . At Williams, he was heavily involved in the Outing Club and in developing the school's campus-wide composting program. Soon after graduation, he moved to Telluride "for a ski season." Having worked for Telski for four winters, Brian is now managing the Mountain School 's information systems, as well as teaching technology to Grades 1-12. Brian hopes to develop students' technical skills to complement their educational experience at the school.
