Jennifer Manhoff is the Spanish teacher for 5th through 12th grades at the Telluride Mountain School. She is returning for her third. Last year she had a wonderful experience with the high school students during their experiential trip to Peru and looks forward to more learning opportunities to share with her students inside and outside the classroom. Jennifer was raised in Wisconsin and received a B.A. at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio as well as completing enough credits for a Spanish major. She studied in Segovia, Spain and went on to work for a software company handling their accounts throughout South America and Mexico. After four years in the business world Jennifer realized that her passion was based in the Spanish language, cultural awareness, and helping others. Working in education extension in Peace Corps Paraguay she touched many people’s lives as they did hers, and she will never forget the incredible experience. After returning to the U.S., Jennifer decided that teaching the Spanish language and culture would be the best way to serve our youth and future leaders as we continue to grow into a global community. She feels lucky to combine her professional desires with the personal desire to live in a mountain community and enjoys spending time outside in the natural surroundings. Last school year Jennifer spent time as a student at Western State and received her teaching credentials and hopes to better serve her students through her own personal growth and education.
