Seth Cagin graduated from Boulder High School, then New York University with a degree in Fine Arts (film), and has lived in Telluride with his family since 1990. He is the co-author of three books, We Are Not Afraid: The Story of Goodman, Schwerner and Chaney and the Civil Rights Campaign for Mississippi; Born to Be Wild: Hollywood and the Sixties Generation; and Between Earth and Sky, a history of ozone depletion. He and his wife Marta Tarbell are the founders and publishers of the local newspaper, The Telluride Watch. Seth and Marta's son Carlos attended the Mountain School, which Seth helped found in 1998, for six years. The founding of the school is by far Seth's proudest accomplishment. Carlos is currently a student at New York University.
