Lynn Roberts joined the Telluride Mountain School's Board of Trustees in the fall of 2007. This will be the third year that her son, James, has attended the school. Lynn is also involved in the Parents' Association, having served as Vice-President in 2006-07. In addition, Lynn serves as a member of the Board of the Telluride Education Foundation.
Lynn comes to Telluride by way of New York, where she lived and worked from 1986 until 1995, and New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was raised and where she and her husband, Tom, lived from 1995 until 2005. The Roberts family initially moved to Telluride to weather the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and were so taken with the community, including the successes that James experienced at the Mountain School, that they relocated to Telluride.
Lynn is an attorney, and is counsel to the firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP, where she specializes in advising financial sector clients regarding insolvency issues related to insurance companies domiciled in the United States and abroad. Although her work is based out of that firm's New York office, she has "telecommuted" for the past 12 of her 17 years of employment with that firm, and continues to do so from Telluride.
Lynn received a B.A.from Colby College in 1985 and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 1988, and is thrilled to be in Telluride and delighted to be able to serve on the Telluride Mountain School's Board. Lynn and her husband, Tom, have two children, James and Will.
