Telluride Mountain School is a fully accredited member of the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS).

The school achieved accreditation in May 2006, following a seven-year process during which the school demonstrated that it is fulfilling its mission statement and meets all of ACIS's high standards for:

In addition to ACIS accreditation, the school is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). NAIS membership signifies that Telluride Mountain School is in the company of the best independent schools in the nation.
